Abstract:
Provided is a valve timing control device for an internal combustion engine, the valve timing control device having a reduced axial length achieved with the strength of a rigid plate section ensured. An electric power supply plate (11) is provided with: a ferrous metallic rigid plate section (16) staked and affixed while the outer peripheral section (16a) thereof is inserted in a front end-side annular groove in a housing body (5a); and a resin section (22) molded onto the rigid plate section. The rigid plate section is formed in such a manner that: holding holes (16c, 16d) for holding brush holders (23a, 23b) for electric power supply brushes (25a, 25b) are formed extending through the rigid plate section; first and second reinforcement sections (34, 35) extending radially inward are integrally provided to the inner peripheral edges of the holding holes; and the resin section is molded onto both side surfaces of the rigid plate section including the holding holes and holds slip rings (26a, 26b) on the outer surface side thereof.
