Abstract:
The axial length L1 of a tip part 30c of a lock pin 30 is formed longer than the depth L2 of a lock hole 31; moreover, A, B, and C are formed in a manner satisfying the relationship B ≒ A + C when the tip part is engaged with the lock hole and a vane-rotor is subjected to relative rotation in a fully retarded direction such that end edge 30f located on one side of a large-diameter part 30b is circumferentially in contact with a facing end surface 29d of a sliding hole 29, where A is the width length of a first clearance S1 formed between end edge 30g located on the other side of the large-diameter part and the other facing surface 29e of the sliding hole, B is the width length of a second clearance formed between end edge 30h located on the other side of the tip part and facing surface 32b located on the other side of a sleeve 32, and C is the step width length of a step surface 30e formed at the joining part of the large-diameter part and the tip part. Consequently, an increase in the number of components associated with the clearance adjustment between the lock pin and the lock hole can be suppressed, and a decline in the efficiency of the clearance adjustment work can be suppressed.
