Abstract:
This valve timing control device is provided with: a plurality of inner teeth 5 provided at positions being located in the inner circumferential surface 1c of a sprocket body 1a and radially opposing the outer circumferential surface of an eccentric shaft 34; rollers 38 and holders 39 that are disposed between the outer circumferential surface of the eccentric shaft and the respective inner teeth and that decelerate rotation of the eccentric shaft cooperatively with the inner teeth so as to transmit the rotation to a driven member; and a large-diameter ball bearing 6 that is press-fitted, from the outside in the axial direction, between the outer circumferential surface 9g of a fixed end 9a and a rear end 1d located axially opposite to the inner teeth in the inner circumferential surface, wherein, in the inner circumferential surface 1c, the rear end 1d is formed in parallel with the rotational axis of the driven member 9, whereas the inner circumferential surface on the side of the inner teeth is tapered such that the diameter thereof becomes larger radially outward from the rear end toward the front end. Accordingly, friction and sound vibration can be reduced during driving.
