Abstract:

Provided is a valve-opening/closing-timing control device with which oil leakage from gaps between members configuring a drive-side rotational body is suppressed, while maintaining lubrication and abrasion resistance of a slide surface of a housing main body. The present invention is provided with: a drive-side rotational body which synchronously rotates with a crank shaft, and which is provided with a housing main body having an opening at at least one side thereof in a direction along a rotational axis (X), and a cover plate that is brought into contact with an end surface of the opening to occlude the opening; and a driven-side rotational body which is provided inside the drive-side rotational body, demarcates, between an inner peripheral surface of the housing main body and the driven-side rotational body, an advance chamber and a retardation chamber, and rotates integrally with a cam shaft and concentrically with the rotational axis. The housing main body is provided with a hard layer formed on at least the inner peripheral surface thereof, among surfaces thereof excluding the end surface of the opening.
