Abstract:

Provided is a valve opening/closing timing control device provided with a projecting and retracting mechanism having high abrasion resistance and enabling a reduction in linking force. A valve opening/closing timing control device is provided with a lock mechanism which comprises a hole portion formed in either one rotating member of a driving side rotating member or a driven side rotating member, a sleeve housed in the hole portion, a lock member housed in the sleeve and capable of projecting or retracting with respect to the other rotating member, and a lock hole formed in the other rotating member so that the lock member can be fitted therein when projecting, and restricts the relative rotational phase of the driven side rotating member with respect to the driving side rotating member to a predetermined phase when the lock member is fitted into the lock hole. A first chamfered surface is formed along a circumferential direction in a corner portion on the inner peripheral side of an end on the side opposite to the side facing the lock hole of the sleeve.
