Abstract:
Provided is a valve timing control device incorporating a motor, wherein it is possible to reduce the amount of frictional heat generated between power supply brushes (30a, 30b) and slip rings (26a, 26b), increase the output of the device, and reduce the size of same. The invention as in claim 1 of the present application is a valve timing device that incorporates a motor (12) and is provided with power supply surfaces (26a, 26b) spreading in the radial direction with respect to a rotary shaft (13) of the motor (12), and brushes (30a, 30b) in sliding contact with the power supply surfaces (26a, 26b), the power supply surfaces having arranged thereon slip rings (26a, 26b), which are ring-shaped power supply surfaces centered about the rotary shaft of the motor, wherein the maximum tangential-direction length (a) of the contact surface with respect to the motor rotary shaft and the maximum radial-direction length (b) satisfy the relation a > b.
