Abstract:
The valve (1) comprises a shutter (5) that is movable between a first, open position and a closed position of a through-passage (4). The opening (6) of the through-passage (4) has a coating (7) made of fluoropolymer which, under normal operating conditions, provides a seat between the body (3) and the shutter (5) when the latter is in the closed position. A sealing ring (10) made of a non-metal material that is resistant to high temperatures is provided at the opening (6). Under normal operating conditions, the sealing ring (10) is entirely covered with the fluoropolymer coating (7). If the fluoropolymer coating (7) fails, it provides a seat between the body (3) and the shutter (5) and comes into contact with the shutter (5) when the shutter (5) is in its closed position so as to interrupt the flow of product through the through-passage (4).
