Abstract:
This valve is provided within the exhaust flow channel of an internal combustion engine and releases exhaust; the valve comprises a valve seat opening into the exhaust flow channel, a valve body in contact with the valve seat and having a conical or spherical surface that closes the opening, a movement means for moving the valve body in a direction intersecting the opening, and an urging means for urging the valve body in a direction intersecting the opening. The urging force of the urging means is controlled by the movement means in a direction that suppresses vibration of the valve body caused by vibration of exhaust pulse frequency, which is established by the speed and number of cylinders of the internal combustion engine.
