Abstract:
A cap seal (9) is provided with an annular seal member (9a) which closes the gap between a valve shaft and a bearing section, and an O-ring (9b) which presses the seal member (9a) against the outer periphery of the valve shaft. The cap seal (9) is configured in such a manner that an annular recess (9d) is formed in a seal surface (9c) which is pressed against the outer periphery of the valve shaft, that foreign matter which adheres to the outer periphery of the valve shaft is scraped off by the corners (9e) which are the boundaries between the seal surface (9c) and the recess (9d), and that the scraped off foreign matter is held in the recess (9d).
