Title:
VANADIUM REDOX SECONDARY CELL AND SEPARATING MEMBRANE FOR SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/055857
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided are a vanadium redox secondary cell having good coulombic efficiency, cycle characteristics, self-discharging characteristics, and rate characteristics, and a separating membrane for the vanadium redox secondary cell. A vanadium redox secondary cell 1 is provided with: a positive electrode 50 including an active material that contains vanadium ions or ions containing vanadium; a negative electrode 80 (or 81) including an active material that contains vanadium ions or ions containing vanadium; and an ion-permeable separating membrane for demarcating the positive electrode 50 and the negative electrode 80 (or 81), in which a plurality of through holes 71 are provided in a position facing the electrodes 50 and 80 (or 50 and 81). The gap between adjacent through holes 71 is 3.5 mm or greater.
