Abstract:
[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a vane compressor wherein operability of a check valve is improved. [Solution] This vane compressor 1 comprises: a housing that has an intake port 12 to suck in a refrigerant gas and a low pressure chamber 13 communicating with the intake port 12; and a check valve 50 that prevents the refrigerant gas from flowing back in the low pressure chamber. The check valve comprises: a valve seat 51 that is provided in the intake port; a cylindrical valve body 52 that has an abutting portion 521b to abut the valve seat; a biasing member 53 that causes the valve body to abut the valve seat; and a guiding portion 54 that is integrally formed with the housing and that houses the valve body so as to slide freely. The guiding portion comprises an opening 55 that opens a portion of the peripheral wall to the low pressure chamber. The area of the opening is changed by the circumferential face 522 of the valve body sliding along the inner wall of the guiding portion. The ratio of the change in the area of the opening to the change in the distance between the valve seat and the valve body increases gradually from a small value to a large value in accordance with the increase in the distance.
