Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a vane compressor configured so that, even if pressure within a discharge chamber increases abnormally due to the discharge of a liquid-like operating fluid from a compression chamber, the pressure within the discharge chamber is smoothly released downstream of an oil separator to prevent the discharge chamber from being maintained at an excessively high pressure, thereby preventing excessive force from being applied to a vane, a rotor which supports the vane, and the oil separator.
[Solution] A vane compressor is provided with a valve mechanism 50 which, when the difference between pressure within a discharge chamber 35 and pressure on the downstream side of an oil separator 40 (pressure within a discharge space 34) exceeds a predetermined value, connects the discharge chamber 35 and the downstream side (discharge space 34) of the oil separator 40 while bypassing the oil separator 40. The discharge chamber 35 and the discharge space 34 are connected through a bypass passage 38 formed in one side-block forming section. The valve mechanism 50 is disposed in the discharge space 34, and the bypass passage 38 is opened and closed by the valve mechanism 50.
