Abstract:
In a vapor compression cycle using a positive-displacement compressor, high efficiency and high reliability are secured. The vapor compression cycle comprises an injection circuit (11) so connected that the refrigerant distributed between a condenser (8) and a main pressure-reducing mechanism (7) in a main refrigerant circuit (9) is injected into the intermediate pressure section of a compressor (10) where the refrigerant has an intermediate pressure. The injection circuit (11) is branched, by a four-way valve (14), into a first flow passage (15) extending through a HIC heat exchanger (13) serving as an economizer and a second flow passage (16) not extending through the HIC heat exchanger (13). When the pressure of the refrigerant at the intermediate pressure section is higher than a predetermined pressure, the four-way valve (14) is so changed over that the refrigerant is injected into the intermediate pressure section via the second flow passage (16).
