Abstract:
This invention provides a vapor cooling method in which, in a process of a boiling phenomenon, larger-area cooling in vapor cooling by nuclear boiling in a temperature region where transition boiling can take place, can be realized. In the vapor cooling method, the surface of a cooling object (ob) or the surface of a heat transfer member in close contact with the surface of the cooling object is used as a cooling face. A main flow passage (10A) for a cooling liquid and a sub flow passage (10B) for a cooling liquid are provided in that order from the cooling face side. A plurality of nozzles (NZ) protruded into the main flow passage (10A) through a partition wall (10C) for partitioning the sub flow passage (10B) and the main flow passage (10A) from each other are arranged in the flow passage direction in the main flow passage. In this case, the front end of the individual nozzles (NZ) is located close to or in contact with the cooling face. A cooling liquid (21) is allowed to flow into the main flow passage (10A) and the sub flow passage (10B), whereby the cooling face is cooled by vaporization of the cooling liquid which flows through the main flow passage (10A) and, at the same time, the cooling liquid on the sub flow passage (10B) side is fed from the sub flow passage (10B) side to a part near the cooling face through the nozzles (NZ) to cool the cooling liquid within the main flow passage.
