Abstract:
Provided in embodiments of the present invention are a variable bandwidth-based communication method and device, the method comprising: a network node transmitting indication information to a UE, the indication information being used for indicating target bandwidth parameters used by the serving cell of the UE; the network node communicating with the UE on the basis of the target bandwidth parameters; the target bandwidth parameters comprising at least one of: target bandwidth, target center frequency, starting time of the target bandwidth. The network node can communicate with the UE on the varied bandwidth, avoiding, in the case of a relatively low network load, communicating on a relatively large bandwidth, thereby reducing power consumption.
