Abstract:
The present invention improves efficiency of a turbine in low flow rate states. A variable capacity turbine includes: a turbine rotor; a scroll channel forming portion that forms a scroll channel; an exhaust gas channel forming portion that forms an exhaust gas channel for guiding exhaust gas from the scroll channel to the turbine rotor; and a variable nozzle unit including a plurality of nozzle vanes (6) that are disposed in the exhaust gas channel and that are each configured pivotably about the center of rotation thereof. The exhaust gas channel forming portion includes: a first plate-like member (41) that has an annular first plate portion (43); and a second plate-like member that has an annular second plate portion that defines the exhaust gas channel between the first plate portion and the second plate portion, the second plate portion being disposed closer to a turbine outlet side than the first plate portion in the axial direction of the turbine rotor. In the first plate-like member, at least one groove portion (7) is formed on a hub-side channel face of the first plate portion that faces the exhaust gas channel, the groove portion (7) extending from an inner-circumferential edge of the first plate portion to an outer-circumferential side.
