Title:
VARIABLE COMPRESSION RATIO INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/009468
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A variable compression ratio internal combustion engine includes a control shaft (13) rotatably supported by an engine main body, a variable compression ratio mechanism (10) capable of changing an engine compression ratio in accordance with a rotation position of the control shaft (13), an actuator (21) that rotationally drives the control shaft (13), and a deceleration mechanism (22) that decelerates rotation power of the actuator (21) and transmits the power to the control shaft (13). The deceleration mechanism (22) has a rotation shaft (24) rotatably supported in a housing (26) fixed to the engine main body and a lever (25) connecting the rotation shaft (24) and the control shaft (13) with each other. The engine main body is fitted with a first regulation unit (42) which mechanically regulates the control shaft (13) to a position of maximum rotation to one of a low compression ratio side and a high compression ratio side. The housing (26) is fitted with a second regulation unit (41) which mechanically regulates the rotation shaft (24) to a position of maximum rotation to the other of the low compression ratio side and the high compression ratio side.
