VARIABLE DAMPER FOR WASHING MACHINE AND MULTI-STAGE INTEGRATED FRICTION DAMPER

The present invention relates to a variable damper for a washing machine and a multi-stage integrated friction damper, and comprises: a tube (1) that is open at one end thereof and has an internal space formed therein; and a rod (30) having one end located in the tube (1) through the opening of the tube (1) and an opposite end exposed to the outside, wherein the rod (30) includes: a small-diameter part (34) located in the tube (1) and having a piston (30) mounted on the outer circumferential surface thereof; and a large-diameter part (35) having a larger diameter than the small-diameter part (34), a part of the large-diameter part (35) being exposed to the outside, wherein a separation preventing piece (36) is formed on an end portion of the small-diameter part (34) to prevent the piston (30) from being separated. According to the present invention, the variable damper for a washing machine and the multi-stage integrated friction damper, which have enhanced air damping capacity, are remarkably advantageous in that a friction member is coupled to the outer circumferential surface of the piston, which reciprocates in the tube, to absorb vibration of the piston, thereby increasing the lifetime of the air damper and enabling the air damper to operate smoothly.
