Abstract:
A variable displacement compressor having high sliding capability and durability between a swash plate and a shoe without degrading the moment characteristic of the swash plate. A slide plate that is fixed to a piston-side side face of the rotating swash plate is provided, and the slide plate is composed of a bearing alloy layer and a lubrication layer that is formed on the surface of the bearing alloy layer and made of a solid lubricant. The bearing alloy layer is composed of a base plate layer and a sintered layer that is formed on the surface of the base plate layer by sintering. The base plate layer comprises an iron-based material and the sintered layer comprises a bronze-based material. The lubrication layer is formed on the surface of the sintered layer. A cooling groove for communication between an inner periphery-side end portion and an outer periphery-side end portion is formed in the joint face between the rotation swash plate and the slide plate.
