Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing stable support for a swash plate and improving the assemblability of a sleeve in a variable displacement compressor. This variable displacement compressor 100 includes a swash plate 112 having an engagement part 112a which engages with a sleeve 130 attached to a drive shaft 110, wherein the movement of the swash plate 112 in the direction in which an inclination angle θ changes with respect to the drive shaft 110 is guided by the sleeve 130. The outer surface 133 of the sleeve 130 is formed in a continuous convex spherical surface shape over the entirety of the periphery the sleeve, and the engagement inner surface 112a1 of the engagement part 112a is formed in a concave spherical surface shape matched to the sleeve 130. A pair of groove parts 112f, 112f recessed in the engagement inner surface 112a1 extend, in the thickness direction of the swash plate 112, from one end surface in the thickness direction to a predetermined groove end position. The groove end position is set to a first position Z1, in the thickness direction, corresponding to a sphere center position C1 of a spherical body defined by the engagement inner surface 112a1 of the engagement part 112a, or is set to a predetermined second position between the first position Z1 and the other end surface of the swash plate 112 in the thickness direction.
