Abstract:
The present invention achieves a variable displacement compressor that ensures stable operation of a spool in a second control valve for regulating the opening degree of a discharge passage through which a refrigerant of a pressure control chamber such as a crank case is discharged into an intake chamber. A spool 430 of a second control valve 400 in this variable displacement compressor has: a valve body 431 disposed in a valve chamber 410; a pressure receiving part 432 disposed in a back-pressure chamber 420; and a shaft part 433 that is inserted through an insertion through-hole 442a so as to connect the valve body 431 and the pressure receiving part 432, wherein the spool 430 is capable of moving in the axial direction of the insertion through-hole 442a. The spool 430 is formed so as to be capable of being tilted with respect to the axis line of the insertion through-hole 442a. The spool 430 is configured such that when maximally tilted to the axis line of the insertion through-hole 442a, the outer peripheral surface of the valve body 431 is brought into contact with the inner surface of the valve chamber 410, while the outer peripheral surface of the shaft part 433 is brought into contact with the inner surface of the insertion through-hole 442a.
