Abstract:
A variable displacement oil pump 1 is provided with a rotary shaft 2, a pump body 3, a piston 5, a swash plate 6, and an angle changing mechanism A that changes the tilt angle of the swash plate 6 with respect to the rotary shaft 2, wherein: the angle changing mechanism A is formed of an assembly of mechanical components that are integrally rotatable with the rotary shaft 2, and has an axial displacement part B that is continuously displaceable to a prescribed position on one side in the axial direction when the rotational speed of the rotary shaft 2 exceeds a prescribed value; the tilt angle of the swash plate 6 becomes larger as the axial displacement part B is displaced to one side in the axial direction; and a damping means 23 for restricting shaking during the displacement of the axial displacement part B is provided to a casing 30 of the pump 1.
