This variable displacement supercharger is provided with: a plurality of nozzle vanes 24; a nozzle ring 23; link plates 27; a drive ring; a protrusion 23e which is provided to the nozzle ring 23, protrudes further outwards in the radial direction than a cylindrical part, extends in the circumferential direction, and is in contact with a turbine housing 4 (a housing) from the side of the link plates 27; a plate 21 (a facing member) which faces the nozzle-vane 24 side of the nozzle ring 23, and forms, in conjunction with the nozzle ring 23, a flow path in a gap therebetween; pins 22 which are inserted through ring pin holes 23f (first insertion portions) provided in the nozzle ring 23, and plate pin holes 21b (second insertion portions) provided in the plate 21, and with which the nozzle ring 23 and the plate 21 are attached such that the gap is maintained therebetween; and a counterbored groove 23g which is formed in the nozzle ring 23 at the link-plate 27 side of the ring pin holes 23f, and which is cut into the protrusion 23e.
