Abstract:

In a variable geometry turbocharger (100), a bearing housing (10) includes a bearing housing side support portion (40) for supporting an outer circumferential side portion (38) of a nozzle mount (16) from a side opposite to a scroll flow channel (4) in an axial direction of a turbine rotor (2), and satisfies at least one of the following condition (a) and condition (b). (a) The bearing housing side support portion (40) has at least one bearing housing side depression portion (46) formed to be depressed in the axial direction so as not to be in contact with the outer circumferential side portion (38) of the nozzle mount (16). (b) The outer circumferential side portion (38) of the nozzle mount has at least one nozzle mount side depression portion (62) formed to be depressed in the axial direction so as not to be in contact with the bearing housing side support portion (40).
