Abstract:
A variable-power optical system that comprises, in order from an object side, a first lens group G1 that has negative refractive power, a second lens group (G2) that has positive refractive power, and a rear group lens group (GR). The rear group lens group (GR) has, in order from furthest to an image side, a final lens group GE and an F lens group GF. During changes in power, the first lens group (G1), the second lens group (G2), and the rear group lens group (GR) move, and the intervals between adjacent lens groups change. During focusing, at least a portion of the F lens group (GF) moves. When f1 is the focal length of the first lens group (G1), and fE is the focal length of the final lens group (GE), -0.220
