Abstract:
The present invention provides a variable power optical system which comprises a plurality of lens groups including a first positive lens group that is arranged closest to the object and has a positive refractive power, a first negative lens group that is arranged on the image side of the first positive lens group and has a negative refractive power, and a second negative lens group that is arranged on the image side of the first negative lens group and has a negative refractive power, and which is configured such that: the distances between lens groups adjacent to each other are changed during zooming; the first negative lens group is able to move so as to include a component in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis, while serving as a vibration-reduction lens group; the second negative lens group moves along the optical axis during focusing; and a specific conditional expression is satisfied. Consequently, the present invention is able to provide a variable power optical system which has high optical performance, while having a vibration-reduction lens group that is reduced in size.
