Abstract:
In the disclosed variable spectral element, a first sensor (31) and a third sensor (33), and a second sensor (32) and a fourth sensor (34), are arranged symmetrically about a line connecting the centers of gravity of facing surfaces of a pair of optical substrates (2). Also, first through fourth piezo elements (41 to 44) are arranged along lines extending from the centers of gravity of the facing surfaces of the pair of optical substrates (2) in the directions of the centers of the first through fourth sensors (31 to 34), respectively. The disclosed variable spectral element is provided with a control unit that: uses signals from the first through fourth sensors (31 to 34) to compute the distance (x) between the centers of gravity of the facing surfaces of the pair of optical substrates (2); uses a signal from the first sensor (31) and a signal from the third sensor (33) to compute a first angle (θ) that the facing surface of an optical substrate to be moved forms with a plane perpendicular to a line connecting the centers of gravity; uses a signal from the second sensor (32) and a signal from the fourth sensor (34) to compute a second angle (φ) that the facing surface of an optical substrate to be moved forms with a plane perpendicular to a line connecting the centers of gravity; and drives the first through fourth piezo elements (41 to 44) on the basis of the computed distance (x) and angles (θ and φ), performing FB control and FF control on said distance (x) and angles (θ and φ).
