Abstract:
A variable-speed drive device (20) for a power unit (P) to be used in a vehicle equipped with stopper pins (66, 80) for restricting the amount a master arm (70) rotates, and inserted into an opening (71) in the master arm, wherein shock-absorbing mechanisms (73, 90) are provided on the master arm and/or the stopper pins. When viewed from the axial direction of the stopper pins, at least one section of the shock-absorbing mechanisms is formed so as to project into the path (Lo) along which the stopper pins rotate relative to the master arm inside the opening, from the stopper pin outer-circumferential surfaces (66a, 85a) and/or from the end edges (72f, 72g) inside the extension region of the stopper pin path (Lo) among the end edges (72) of the opening in the master arm. As a result, even if the master arm and the stopper pin contact one another at a high speed, it is possible to suppress the sound of contact and suppress an increase in the weight of a stopper pin attachment part.
