Title:
VARIABLE-SPEED HANDRAIL DRIVING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/124373
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A variable-speed handrail driving device is provided with an expansion/retraction link chain (8) stretched in an endless manner and a flexible handrail belt member (10). The expansion/retraction link chain (8) comprises: a plurality of expansion/retraction links (82) mutually connnected in series, each expansion/retraction link (82) being extendable/retractable in a longitudinal direction and having a pivot (84); and an variable-speed driving device (12) that causes the pivots (84) to accelerate and decelerate. The variable-speed driving device (12) is equipped with: a first trajectory chain (122) that is guided in an endless manner along a first trajectory and rod-shaped first push fittings (128) that extend outwardly and that have an end section which is rockably attached to the first trajectory chain. The tip of the first pressing fitting (128) engages detachably with the pivot (84) and the pivot is accelerated and decelerated due to the continuous changes in the distance between the pivots, caused by changes in the rocking angle of the first push fitting with respect to the pivot (84).
