Abstract:
A variable-speed hydraulic motor comprising a cylinder block (25), a plurality of pistons (28) and a swash plate (30) for changing the strokes of the pistons. The swash plate is swung to increase its tilt by the resultant force (F1) of thrusts of a plurality of pistons (28), while it is swung to decrease its tilt by the thrust (F) of a piston (40) for changing the tilt, and the center of swinging of the swash plate (30) is set outside the point of application of the resultant force (F1) of a plurality of pistons (28) with respect to the center of the cylinder block (25). The piston (40) has a ring-like shape and its point of application is positioned outside the point of application of the resultant force ((F1) of the thrusts of a plurality of pistons (28) with respect to the center (37) of the cylinder block (25).
