Abstract:
The present invention relates to a torque converter used for a differential coupling, which is a power transmission device for coupling that transmits power from a driving device to a driven device. This patent relates to a method for realizing a variable function, which is the most important function in the structure of the differential coupling that reduces energy consumption by converting and adjusting a driving force applied to a driving device according to changes in the properties of the driven body, such as the torque or number of rotations required by the driven body. Also, this patent relates to technology that replaces or improves the performance of a pitch control guide vein that is existing technology applied to a stator which, along with a pump and a turbine, performs a variable function in the torque converter. In the case of a driving source such as an electric motor, the differential coupling is a device having a function of enabling a partial load operation within the capacity of the electric motor so that ultimately, the amount of fuel consumed by an engine or the power supplied to the motor may be reduced. The main function involves using the principles of a differential gear while utilizing a power split method, and, through the above method, the present invention provides a variable speed ? power transmission device that improves average efficiency. The most important factor is the variable function of the torque converter, and the point of the present invention is to improve the performance of the variable function.
