Abstract:
The invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used in the form of a continuously stepless transmission ensuring a variable control of wheel speed and in the form of other actuating mechanisms which are used for the automotive, civil engineering, agriculture and other industries. The inventive variable-speed unit comprises a body containing a drive and a driven shafts which are arranged therein and provided with drive and driven wheels cinematically connected to each other with the aid of intermediate wheels arranged in a unit for changing a transmission ratio which is embodied in the form of a rotating unit. The rotary moment is transmitted with the aid of profiled teeth embodied on the end surface of one of contacting wheels and load-bearing elements which are fixed to the end surface of another contacting wheel oriented thereto. The intermediate wheels are fixed on both ends of an intermediate shaft which is arranged between the drive and driven wheels in such a way that it is turnable. The axis of turn of the intermediate shaft is offset in one or two orthogonal directions with respect to the drive and driven shafts. One of the intermediate wheels is embodied in the form of a spherical segment whose convex surface is oriented towards the discoildal drive of the driven wheel. The other intermediate wheel is embodied in the form of a disc and contacts the toroidal drive or driven wheel, respectively, whose concave surface is oriented towards the intermediate wheel. The load-bearing elements are pivotally fixed to the wheels and embodied in such a way that they are spring-loaded.
