Abstract:

[PROBLEMS] To provide a variable wheelbase type vehicle having a mechanism for interlocking a variation in wheelbase with the tilting of a vehicle seat. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] In this variable wheelbase type vehicle (1), front wheels (FW) are connected to the forward part of a main frame (2) on which the vehicle seat (SV) is mounted and the upper ends of a pair of rotating arms (4) are rotatably connected to the rearward part thereof. The lower ends of the rotating arms (4) are rotatably connected to rear wheels (RW), and upper arms (8) and lower arms (73) rotatably connected to each other are installed at the rear of the rotating arms (4) to connect the main frame (2) to the rear wheels (RW). The operating part (62) of an operating device (6) mounted on the main frame (2) is connected to the rotating arms (4) through operating links (5), and the rotating arms (4) are rotated through the operating links (5) by operating the operating device (6) to move the rear wheels (RW) relative to the front wheels (FW) so as to vary the wheelbase and the tilting of the main frame (2).
