Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of improving the capacity for producing 3-hydroxyadipic acid and/or α-hydromconic acid by using variant acyl-CoA hydrolase or bacteria with a nucleic acid that codes for the variant acyl-CoA hydrolase introduced thereto. Provided is a variant acyl-CoA hydrolase having acyl-CoA-hydrolase activity, comprising a polypeptide having the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1, or a polypeptide having an amino acid sequence having at least 60% sequence identity with the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 and having acyl-CoA hydrolase activity, wherein a portion of the amino acids has been substituted. Or, provided is a microorganism with a nucleic acid that codes for said variant acyl-CoA hydrolase introduced thereto.
