Abstract:
A total certainty factor is calculated on the basis of a parking-frame certainty factor, which indicates a degree of certainty that a parking frame is present in a forward-travel direction of a vehicle, and a parking-frame-entry certainty factor, which indicates a degree of certainty that the vehicle is entering the parking frame, said total certainty factor indicating a total degree of certainty of the parking-frame certainty factor and the parking-frame-entry certainty factor. Vehicle acceleration controlled in accordance with a drive-force-indicating operation amount of an accelerator pedal operated by a driver is suppressed with a greater degree of suppression the higher the total certainty factor. Moreover, vehicle acceleration is suppressed with a lower degree of suppression the greater the speed of the vehicle.
