Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a vehicle accident notification system with which it is possible to assess in detail and report the status of an accident. A vehicle accident notification system 1 has: a collision detection means 6 for detecting that a vehicle has undergone a collision; an obstacle avoidance means 22 that operates to help the driver of the vehicle to avoid an obstacle; an avoidance information acquisition means 23 for acquiring information relating to the presence of an operation of the obstacle avoidance means 22 prior to a collision; an estimation means 18 for estimating the status of an accident at the time of collision on the basis of the information acquired from the avoidance information acquisition means 23; and an emergency communication means 3 for transmitting the status of the accident estimated by the estimation means 18 to a wireless facility 2 when a collision involving the vehicle is detected by the collision detection means 6.
