Abstract:
The present invention assists a heating operation by performing heat accumulation during charging using existing constituent components. Provided is a vehicle air conditioner for a vehicle equipped with a battery 45 that supplies power to an electric motor 46, the vehicle air conditioner comprising a temperature control circuit 41 that causes a temperature control thermal medium to circulate to control the temperature of the battery 45, and a refrigeration cycle circuit 12 that causes an air-conditioning thermal medium to circulate to perform air conditioning in a vehicle cabin. The temperature control circuit 41 is provided with: a heater 43 that heats the temperature control thermal medium; a heat exchanger 47 that carries out heat exchange with the air-conditioning thermal medium of the refrigeration cycle circuit 12; the battery 45; the electric motor 46; and piping 51e that bypasses the battery 45. When the battery 45 is being charged, the temperature control thermal medium passes through the piping 51e, and the temperature control thermal medium heated by the heater 43 accumulates heat in the electric motor 46. When the battery 45 is not being charged, a heating operation is assisted through heat exchange between the temperature control thermal medium heated by the electric motor 46 and the air-conditioning thermal medium, in accordance with a demand from the heating operation.
