Abstract:
The vehicle air conditioning device according to the present invention is a heat-pump-type vehicle air conditioning device provided with an outdoor heat exchanger for exchanging heat between outside air and an internally flowing refrigerant. In the vehicle air conditioning device, a controller functions as a temperature difference calculating unit for calculating the temperature difference ∆T between outside air and refrigerant in a refrigerant flow channel on the outlet side of the outdoor heat exchanger, and also functions as a frost formation determination unit for determining that frost has formed on the outdoor heat exchanger on the basis of the elapsed time tn for which a state has existed in which the temperature difference ∆T is equal to or greater than a frost formation temperature difference at which frost formation can occur on the outdoor heat exchanger.
