Abstract:
The present invention provides an improved vehicle air conditioning system and vehicle air conditioning method, the system comprising a refrigerant circuit and a heat medium circuit and including a plurality of exterior heat exchangers that cause heat exchange between outside air and the heat medium. The vehicle air conditioning system comprises: a refrigerant circuit; a heat medium circuit; an interior heat exchanger; exterior heat exchangers, namely first and second heat exchangers disposed in series in relation to a flow of air produced by a fan; a switching unit; a detection unit for detecting the degree of frost formation; and a control device. An operating mode includes a defrost mode in which the heat medium in a high-temperature medium circuit is supplied to a defrost component selected alternatively as either the first heat exchanger or the second heat exchanger according to an operation by the switching unit, the first and second heat exchangers being connected in parallel in the heat medium circuit. In a case of determining that the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger both need to be defrosted, the control device preferentially selects the first heat exchanger positioned farther upwind than the second heat exchanger positioned downwind as the defrost component.
