Abstract:
A vehicle auxiliary power supply device (5) provided with a three-phase inverter circuit (INV1) for converting direct-current or alternating-current electrical power inputted from an overhead power line (1) into the desired alternating-current electrical power and supplying the desired alternating-current electrical power to a load, the vehicle auxiliary power supply device being mounted to a railway vehicle and connected in parallel to a VVVF inverter device (4) for driving a propulsion motor (7), wherein a blocking diode (BD1) for preventing a countercurrent from the three-phase inverter circuit (INV1) to the overhead power line (1) is provided between the overhead power line (1) and the three-phase inverter circuit (INV1), and an SiC Schottky barrier diode is used as the blocking diode (BD1).
