Abstract:
A vehicle behavior control device of an embodiment of the present invention is provided with the following: a collision determination unit that, as one example, in a state in which the wheels are braked, determines whether a vehicle will collide with an obstacle in front of the vehicle if the vehicle decelerates while going straight, on the basis of at least the results of detection of the obstacle and the results of detection of the travelling state of the vehicle; and a vehicle behavior control unit that, if the collision determination unit has determined that the vehicle will collide with the obstacle, executes at least one of rear wheel steering control and control that imparts a difference to the braking states of the left and right wheels, without steering the front wheels, so as to make the vehicle decelerate while circumventing the obstacle.
