Abstract:

It is intended to provide a vehicle body frame for motorcycles, which makes it possible to achieve weight reduction, size reduction, and cost reduction and which is superior in aesthetic appearance. To this end, it comprises a head block (2) including a head pipe (3), a main frame (11) having a pair of frame halves (11a, 11b) branching right and left from the head block (2) to extend rearward, and a swing arm bracket (8) extending downward from the rear end of the main frame (11). An inner portion (21) positioned inside the vehicle body of the main frame (11) and all or inner portion of the swing arm bracket (8) are formed by an inner member (19) made of casting and at least the outer portion of the main frame (11) is formed by an outer member (20) made of sheet metal.
