Abstract:
A vehicle body structure 1 comprises: a battery 10 positioned in the center lower section 1a of a vehicle body; a hollow side sill 20 that extends in the vehicle-body longitudinal direction on the vehicle-width-direction outer side of the battery 10; a reinforcement member 23 positioned inside the side sill 20, the reinforcement member 23 having a continuous tubular structure CT in which multiple polygonal closed cross sections are connected, viewed from the vehicle width direction; and a deformation control member 24 attached to the reinforcement member 23, the deformation control member 24 controlling deformation in the vehicle-body longitudinal direction of the continuous tubular structure CT of the reinforcement member 23.
