Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a vehicle body transfer device that enables a vehicle body under assembly to be quickly and easily transferred from an arbitrary position on one assembly line to an arbitrary position on an adjacent assembly line, whereby the efficiency of the assembling work can be improved. This vehicle body transfer device is for transferring a vehicle body while holding the vehicle body in a tilted state by lifting one of the tires of the four wheels of the vehicle body. The device is characterized by comprising a main body (1) that is equipped with a self-propelling function and a tire lifting/supporting means that is provided on the main body (1) and used for lifting one tire and maintaining said state, and is characterized in that the tire lifting/supporting means has a support plate (17) and a movable shaft (25) for sandwiching the tire (10) to be lifted and supported from the front and the back, and the movable shaft (25) is configured to be able to move toward and away from the support plate (17) and lifts the tire (10) as the movable shaft moves forward.
