Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle braking apparatus such that braking force can be accurately controlled by producing highly accurate two master pressures by controlling a single servo pressure. A pressure increase characteristic (IP) is set, when a servo pressure (S) is increased, on the basis of a first pressure increase characteristic (IP1) determined from the relationship between the servo pressure (S) and a first master pressure (M), and a second pressure increase characteristic (IP2) determined from the relationship between the servo pressure (S) and a second master pressure (M). A pressure decrease characteristic (DP) is set, when the servo pressure (S) is decreased, on the basis of a first pressure decrease characteristic (DP1) determined from the relationship between the servo pressure (S) and the first master pressure (M), and a second pressure decrease characteristic (DP2) determined from the relationship between the servo pressure (S) and the second master pressure (M). Thus, the braking force of the vehicle braking apparatus as a whole is the sum of the braking force produced by the first master pressure (M) and the braking force produced by the second master pressure (M), enabling accurate braking force control.
