Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle braking device capable of reducing driver discomfort. A vehicle braking device that sets, as the target hydraulic braking force that is the target value for the hydraulic braking force, the difference obtained by subtracting the effective regenerative braking force, which is the actually produced regenerative braking force, from the requested braking force, which is the requested value for the braking force to be imparted to the vehicle wheels, said vehicle braking device comprising: a hydraulic control unit that raises the target hydraulic braking force by a prescribed value at the point in time when the difference between the effective regenerative braking force and the maximum regenerative braking force, which is the maximum value for the regenerative braking force that can be generated by a regenerative braking device, falls to or below a determination threshold; and a threshold setting unit for setting the determination threshold on the basis of the requested braking force gradient if the fluid amount inside the hydraulic chamber is below a prescribed amount, and setting the determination threshold on the basis of the target hydraulic braking force gradient if the fluid amount inside the hydraulic chamber is at or above the prescribed amount.
