Abstract:
This structure to be used in the wheel housing lower member (3) of a vehicle chassis has a top-surface section (6A) and an outside surface section (6B), and is equipped with a lower curved section (5) in which the top surface section (6A) forms the inside curved surface (9) thereof, and an inside ridge (11) is formed between the top surface section (6A) and the outside surface section (6B). Therein, the wheel housing lower member (3) is further equipped with: a depression (13) which induces the deformation of the lower curved section (5) when a front collision load is imparted thereto, and is formed in the inside ridge (11) of the lower curved section (5); and a long hole (15) formed so as to pass through the outside surface section (6B) along the depression (13).
