Abstract:
A vehicle-chassis-rear-section structure (10), wherein a cross-member (13) extending in the vehicle-widthwise direction and joined to a rear-panel rear surface is provided with: an upper flange (13a) and a lower flange (13b) which are joined to the rear panel and vertically separated from one another by a prescribed interval; an upper surface (13c) extending toward the vehicle rear from the bottom end of the upper flange (13a); a lower surface (13d) extending toward the vehicle rear from the top end of the lower flange (13b); a hat-shaped cross-sectional section formed from a rear surface (13e) connecting the rear ends of the upper surface (13c) and the lower surface (13d); and a bulkhead section (13h) for closing openings (13g) on both ends of the cross-member (13) in the vehicle-widthwise direction. Furthermore, the bulkhead section (13h) is positioned so as to close the openings (13g) on both ends and be integrally connected to both ends of the rear surface (13e) of the cross-member (13) in the vehicle-widthwise direction, and is joined to the upper surface (13c) and the lower surface (13d).
