Abstract:
Disclosed is a vehicle collision load transmission structure that prevents lowering of efficiency in load transmission from a seat rod on seats on one side of a vehicle to a seat rod on seats on the other side of the vehicle, when the vehicle suffers a lateral collision. The vehicle collision load transmission structure comprises left and right seat seat rods (2r), (3r), and a load transmission body (10) disposed upon a vehicle floor (F) between the seat rods (2r), (3r). Lateral vehicle impact load is borne by the load transmission body (10) via one seat rod (2r), and transmitted from the load transmission body (10) via the other seat rod (3r) to the opposite side of the vehicle. The load transmission body (10) further comprises a pedestal portion (20) that is anchored to the vehicle floor (F), and a load bearing portion (30) that is installed upon the pedestal portion (20) and that is configured to connect to the seat rods (2r), (3r). The pedestal portion is configured to be more easily deformed than the vehicle floor (F) in response to the load of a collision in the vehicular width direction.
