Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle communication device equipped with a control unit (37) and receiving units (31, 32) for receiving a communication performance indicator indicating the performance of a short-range communication unit for performing communication inside a vehicle compartment from a peripheral vehicle provided with the short-range communication unit. The control unit is equipped with: a reference value setting unit for sequentially setting a reference value for the communication performance indicator, on the basis of the communication performance indicators received from a plurality of peripheral vehicles; an acquisition unit for acquiring a communication performance indicator for a target short-range communication unit, which is a short-range communication unit to be subjected to an abnormality determination; and an abnormality determination unit for determining whether the target short-range communication unit exhibits an abnormality, on the basis of a comparison between the reference value set by the reference value setting unit and the communication performance indicator pertaining to the target short-range communication unit and acquired by the acquisition unit.
